Gabe will be 10 months on Sat and we have been playing catch up since our "mold" situation at the old house. We have been playing with finger foods and experimenting with the bowl and spoon for a while and finally the plate. So Grandma bought him an awesome Buzz light-year plate and bowl set, and i have been dying to pull it out. Now i understand that kiddos will make messes when eating so i gave him his finger foods, nicely separated on the tray. It lasted for ooo maybe, 10 seconds before all my hard earned work was on the floor. All i could think was, so do i make him another plate just for the same result? or should i feed him myself? As much as i wanted to feed him myself, i knew that i needed to trust him and let him have fun. SO i made the plate again, this time much less food...lol..just filled it up as he went only. Now after a week of trial and error, he leaves the food on the plate, but when he's done eating you will be wearing the remainder lol But it's the little things like this i cherish, being able to make messes again without worrying so much. It's awesome being a kid again and experiencing it with my new best friend :0)
